I wonder if Charlotte will be competing this year? Has anyone heard or read if she is or not?

I will guess that she is because she has been doing "the circuit" recently. Why not ride on home turf to a home crowd? Her horse's name is GI Joe.

I saw some great photos of Charlotte on another forum but now I can't find them. There are different levels of show jumping at this event. The 30 top show jumpers are the Grand Prix riders many of whom are Olympic riders. Charlotte is in the lower level. None the less it will be a difficult course for her level.

I did a general search MONACO, the horse jumping photos came up first. There are some different shots than you see on Getty. Candid shots of Caroline

Actually never wear soft shoes around horses. Not only will they break your toes but all the small bones in your foot. My daughter's horse once got her and she had her riding boots on. It still broke a couple bones and caused extreme swelling. Of course she rode anyway and dealt with the foot afterward. Also never wear a camisole either. The grooms of course love it - especially the Latin Am. ones. And the white pants because, dirt just has a way of finding them. I too love Caroline's outfit. It's appropriate for her position. Charlene just looks like she always does - uneducated and incapable of figuring it out. Athina is looking good.

excellent point, it also bothers me when people ride wearing tennis shoes.....if you've ever seen anyone drug by a horse stuck in the stirrup you'd never do it. i mentioned it to some people not long ago and they said i was old fashioned....um ok ,not sure when smart rules became old fashioned, i stood corrected and shut up, after all i never rode with a helmet,( how did we survive our childhoods lol, i hate to think of how many times i fell off a horse, usually MY fault)

"And the white pants because, dirt just has a way of finding them." mine anyway ;), the tucked in blue shirt looks so smart and cool, wonder if tweets wore sunscreen, those shoulders catch alot of sun.

hope we get more information on what's she's doing there. was albert there? did she come with caroline? any interaction? other than trailing out to stand with the star OMG that horse is gorgeous, i'm a sucker for a black horse (GIJOE looks like he has one in his background) and he's close enough. he loves caroline, look how he's nuzzling and lovey with her, darling that is love (tweets looks scared IMO, she's constantly looking at the horse)

sigh i miss having horses and now with my arm i wouldn't dare ride again. my mom rode until her 70's but got thrown and broke her knee, her horse Queen was the last one on the place. gosh i'm in a sad weird place today...i guess it's partly Farrah (i really was rooting for her to beat it, it hits too close to home) and seeing MJ epitaph with 1958-2009.....it's the year i was born and i don't remember ever seeing 1958 in an obit before... another ball close to home.

i really find it interesting if she went to this alone with caroline, can they really possibly be friends....MJ a jolt but charlene and caroline friends......that would be a shock.

:D The pics of the horse show with the dog were delightful!! Also, whaaat a beautiful horse charlotte has. This is a completely focused horse and did you 'see' all of the horses movements even when he walks he looks soo-o-o-o elegante and graceful almost as if he's dancing. When he jumps he's in perfect form, just a real treat to see; indeed! Ohh the pics of the horse snuggling up to Caroline were fabulous!! horses really like their snugglly horse-y people!! there's almost an intangible rapport that Caroline seems to have with the horse. it was easy to see in the other horse shows too!! it's noticible. Perhaps, since it senses the family bond between Caroline and her daughter so the horse must pick up on it too, do you suppose?! Or---r-r it could be Caroline spoils the horse even more than Caroline tee hee could it be?? ha Anyhoo, it was good to see Athina and her husband :D there as well and back in the saddle! Her horse as well is gorgeous!!

i'm just thrilled to see Athina looking so beautiful and happy!!!! bless her, she had a childhood and early life that no one would envy and now she's radiant and lives a normal life with a loving husband and his little girl, well it's just beautiful happy ending to the start of a long life. breaks the family curse (spit spit)

i wish i knew how to make an icon of the dog on the saddle for my name tag ;) it's the cutest!

every horse i've ever known had it's own personality just like people. some love everybody, some just a few, others....can't wait to bite the crap out of you or get a quick buck or kick in (usually stud horses, but i've known some onery mares too). GIJOE looks like a lovedove, beautiful and sweet tempered.

dang it's already 90F and its only 10:30 am. wish i could crawl into a cool cave until november LOL

That's so true bbb they do have such distinct personalities. GI Joe looks like a great guy. I'm sure if they get into trouble on the course he will try and take care of her. There is a great affection from all the family members toward him. (we call my daughter's horse the big dog, although he can bully new people, nipping at them. He tests people to see what he can get away with and once he gets smacked for bad behavior he looks really sorry. He loves the little kids and has a fan club at the barn). I too am happy to see Athina so happy and grounded. Charlene is really really out of her element at this horse show. I think Albert probably asked Caroline to babysit her, Or perhaps her French is still not good so she has no idea what is going on. Stay cool bbb!!!

Beautiful horse and some great shots of Charlotte on it and the other horse. No I'm not talking about Charlene :lol: Look at picture 21 she's not looking at the horse? The dog pictures are really cute and funny and everyone is laughing and having a good time except Charlene, who seems to be enjoying another view. I would say og her where the others look natural just ignoring the cameras and going on about their business, Charlene seems like that is always her sole purpose of ever being anywhere, aware of the camera on her at all times, except that one photo when someone else has her attention. Too funny

I'm really so sick of seeing this girl and all the publicty of her with Monaco. I tried to stay away from her thread to avoid her, but since she is very much a staple there I guess she will be featured in anything about Monaco from now on. There's no getting around it, her name and image is synonymous with Monaco now, exactly what she has wanted and Albert gave it to her so he must wish it too , nevertheless the photos of Charlotte and the family are all really nice and it's great to see them all having a good time :)
