SailorG, the sea is a very important theme to her. She is from a beautiful place in Qc called Gaspe, on the water. Also in her quest for deeper meaning in all things, life and art, she underwent shamanic rituals with aboriginals and her animal spirit guides turned out to be whales. In her meditations, she communed with them and on some level, even understood their language. Her series of whale paintings capture the depthlessness of their habitat to perfection. This is just one facet of her. She started to draw at 4, composed music by 6 and is all around a fascinating petite woman. Last night she had something of an epiphany and she is going home to paint a new series. The event went well. The media came, and she gave an interview to one French paper. I will upload a pic of her with someone who bought her last painting of a series she sold out of, on Edith Piaf.

Interesting woman, I like all her work, but the sea paintings are especially nice.

LOVely, i like her work alot, very dreamy and peaceful but powerful. When i'm at the ocean, i feel God, it makes me aware of how small and insignificant i am in the overall scheme of things...humble and awed.

*British backpacker Jamie Neale has been found alive after going missing in the Australian bush for nearly two weeks.

Dugard's stepfather, Carl Probyn, told KTVU that the girl’s mother Terry Probyn got a stunning phone call at work Wednesday from federal agents.

"She got a call from the FBI, they said they had found Jaycee and she was alive," he said in a phone interview from the couple's Riverside County, Calif., home. "They put her (the woman) on the phone. My wife talked with her and is convinced she is Jaycee. Jaycee remembers everything."

TRIPOLI, Libya — Family members say the only man convicted in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing has been taken to intensive care after his condition worsened.

Abdel Baset al-Megrahi has terminal prostate cancer and Libyan officials have said his health has swiftly deteriorated since his release from a Scottish prison less than two weeks ago.

The family members, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter, said they have not been allowed to visit him. There was no way to independently verify his condition.

in my modest opinion we have the best state fair in the country. it was built in the 30's and has fabulous art deco architecture, gorgeous fountains and every food and entertainment you can imagine. we haven't been in a couple of years i haven't been up for all the walking but we're going to try to make it this year. i can't wait!!!
