The Exotic Garden of Monaco at the Genoa Flower Show

It goes by the name of «Echinocactus» (or «Golden Barrel Cactus») and at the grand old age of 150, dominated the flower show that took place in Genoa until 1st May. This has been the second year running that the Exotic Garden of Monaco took part in Euroflora, where various species including cacti and other succulent plants that contribute to its reputation were showcased.

Over a total area of 100m2, the technicians from the Exotic Garden recreated a semi-desert setting in the huge exhibition hall of the Genoa Flower Show, while striving to project the environment specific to the Exotic Garden in Monaco …with its undulations and banks of mineral rock.
A team of six workers was needed over a four month period to carry out the intricate and time-consuming task of preparing and packing the highly fragile plants. Such is the expertise of the Exotic Garden’s technicians that they were awarded the Gold Medal of Honour in the foreign collective presentation category at the last International Flower Show in Nantes.

A date for your diary: The Exotic Garden of Monaco will be hosting the 19th edition of Monaco Expo Cactus, organised by the Mairie of Monaco on 3rd and 4th June. This is “the” event for both amateurs and professionals of cacti and other succulent plants.

Why does PC dye her hair? It looks so obvious that the colour is not natural.
Is she afraid of showing her grey hair?

Greaat pics of the flower show. this has got to be "the" most favorite time of the year for Monaco. Is that outfit a lagerfeld?? it's quite nice. does anyone know? Ernest and Caroline both looked especially great for the outing. Although the fragrance flowers would probably be everyone's favorites. The cacti can be quite pretty as well. Although Caroline's hair always looks quite natural, did she ever put highlights in it, to co-ordinate with Ernest's tendency towards golden color?? In any case it looked quite nice. Do they have more pics of the actual flowers as well. it's such a beautiful time of year a few more pics would be in order don't you think???
