Last February, H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie and her team organised two special performances based on the Parisian musical “Le Roi Soleil” in the Principality of Monaco. Following this first experience, highly appreciated by the public, Princess Stéphanie is organising a show featuring songs by Serge Gainsbourg (La Javanaise, Couleur Café, Comic Strip, Vieille Canaille, Requiem pour un Con etc.), followed by a “Saint Germain des Près" themed dinner on 20th March 2008 in the Grimaldi Forum (Monaco).
The evening falls within the scope of her association to combat Aids - “FIGHT AIDS MONACO”.
Many artists will be taking part in this exceptional evening in March including: Elie Semoun, Maurane, Martin Rappeneau, Passi, Vitaa, Patrick Bruel, Adrienne Pauly, David Hallyday, the cast from the Roi Soleil, Lââm, Alizée, Agnés Jaoui. Together with Princess Stéphanie and the two patrons, Jane Birkin and Jenifer, they will be performing some of Serge Gainsbourg's best loved songs. They will be accompanied by the musicians of the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. Staged by Kamel Ouali, the arrangements and orchestration will be written by Jean-Félix Lalanne.
Proceeds from this unique event will be used to fund a project which the Princess holds close to her heart: the building of a special home (Maison de Vie) in Provence for those living with HIV.
Princess Stéphanie set up the Fight Aids Monaco (FAM) association of which she is the president in 2004. The Princess was appointed UNAIDS Special Representative in October 2006. The purpose of F.A.M. is to inform and to prevent, as well as to support those suffering from HIV/Aids.
Tickets range from 50 to 70 euros for the show itself; the dinner featuring music and entertainment by the actors of the "Compagnie Florestan" vary from 250 to 500 euros.
